This is the required first step before any ECU tuning, performance maps, or software upgrades can be installed on your vehicle.

BMW, MINI, and Toyota Supra vehicles manufactured before May 2020 use factory-locked DMEs that must be unlocked before tuning can begin.

For these vehicles, the DME can be unlocked on-site, without shipping or downtime.

We come to your location and perform the unlock safely and professionally.

What Is a DME Unlock?

The DME controls engine operation and tuning access.

From the factory, BMW DMEs are encrypted, preventing:

• ECU flashing

•  Performance tuning

•  Aftermarket software installation

Unlocking the DME enables full access for:

•  Stage 1 / Stage 2 tuning

•  Custom maps

•  Performance and fuel calibrations

Without a DME unlock, software tuning is not possible.

• MINI Cooper

• Toyota Supra A90 / A91

Important Disclaimer — DME Re-Lock Policy

Dealer software updates may re-lock the DME, either in person at the dealership or remotely.

This service includes one (1) DME unlock only.

If the DME is re-locked after the service is completed, an additional DME unlock service must be purchased.

We are not responsible for DME re-locking caused by:

• Dealer software updates

• Manufacturer remote updates

•  Any third-party programming after the unlock

We strongly recommend requesting no software updates from the dealer unless coordinated with us.
