What to expect before, during, and after your BMW service
Before We Arrive
- Please park the vehicle on a flat, level surface. This is important for any service involving fluids.
- If the service involves the cooling system, the engine must be fully cooled before we arrive.
- If rain is expected and your parking spot is uncovered, please let us know in advance. Some services cannot be safely performed in the rain.
During the Service
- Our technician will be fully focused on the repair process.
- Many procedures require precision and uninterrupted attention. Even small distractions can extend the service time.
- You are always welcome to ask questions. We simply ask for your understanding if the technician remains focused and quiet while working. This is to ensure the job is done safely and correctly.
After the Service
Once the work is complete, the technician will clean the workspace and make sure your vehicle is left in proper condition.
Over the next few days, please keep an eye on your vehicle for:
- Any signs of fluid residue
- Small coolant drips
- Changes in coolant level
This is a normal precaution after certain types of repairs.
If your service involved suspension work, a wheel alignment will be required afterward to ensure proper handling, tire wear, and safety.
Some repairs also require a short calibration period of 200 to 300 miles. During this time, the vehicle’s systems may readjust to the new components. This is normal.
If We Discover Something Unexpected
Sometimes, during disassembly, aged or brittle components may fail. For example, an old hose or connector that was already at the end of its lifespan.
If this happens:
- You will be informed immediately
- Your service advisor will explain the situation clearly
- No additional work will be performed without your approval
If a part is damaged due to our technician’s actions, it is fully covered under our warranty.
If a part fails due to age or condition, we will discuss the replacement with you before proceeding.
